University of South China
The University of South China is a University in Hengyang, Hunan province, China. It was formed in 2000 by the merger of Central South Institute of Technology (est. 1959) and Hengyang Medical College (est. 1958). In October 2002, University of South China incorporated the Sixth Institute of National Nuclear Industry as its subordinating part and took over No. 415 Hospital (originally under the Corporation of National Nuclear Industry) as one of its affiliated hospitals. The University of South China was initially authorized to award bachelor degrees, and in 1986 began awarding master degrees. In 1991, it began to collaborate with other USA universities and research institutes in doctoral programs, and was authorized to award doctoral degrees in 2003.
University of South China offers MBBS course in English Medium for overseas students. The University is home to over 2,500 faculty members, and over 37,000 full-time students, of whom 33,000 are undergraduates and 4000, master or doctor degree candidates. Situated in Hengyang, a historical and cultural city in central Hunan, China, with a total area of 200 hectares, USC comprises 26 colleges and schools, 4 affiliated hospitals and 21 teaching hospitals. Actively involved in international communications for a long time, the University has established official cooperative relations with many universities all over the world. Foreign experts are invited to work in the university throughout the year. International students are coming for various programs offered by the university.
As of December 2014, the university has established exchange and cooperation relations with over 60 universities and research institutes from about 20 countries and regions such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands, Japan and Korea.
The degree awarded is recognized by WHO, MCI and it is acknowledged throughout the world. University of South China does not only teach but prepares you to pass all levels of medical examination (MCI, USMLE,PLAB).
